The Torrechiara Castle, with spectacular views is the ideal setting for many love and battle tales. The Parma hills interrupt the Po Valley monotony just South the Via Emilia, where the landscape changes from deep green in spring to the thousand red shades of autumn. Tizzano is an example, built on top of a hill covered with cultivated fields and woods and dominated by the ruins of an old thirteenth castle.
