Two months of top-level concerts in suggestive and highly evocative places of history and culture in our city and region. Even our excellent food&wine will be the protagonist while music will transversely permeate every form of culture, historical, theatrical or gastronomic in different and somehow evocative places: traditional opera houses, modern auditoriums, ancient squares and churches, streets and museums.
The program opens with two concerts for the Inaugural Evening at the Teatro Regio in Parma, on Monday 5 June, with a double program that will anticipate the concerts on 8 and 9 June at the prestigious Dresden Music Festival and which will focus on two of the musicians most loved by Toscanini, Wagner and Verdi. Omer Meir Wellber will conduct the two concerts with the presence of two of the most famous soloists on the international scene, the pianist Mikhail Pletnёv and the cellist Jan Vogler. The prestigious invitation to the Dresden Music Festival represents an extraordinary recognition of the artistic and executive level of the Arturo Toscanini Philharmonic, the only Italian orchestra among the 15 international ensembles on the 2023 bill.
Between the two concerts, a delicious gastronomic break. In the heart of the Food Valley and in one of the temples of Italian opera, you will enjoy a tasting of some of the best typical products of the Emilia-Romagna Region. The typical dishes, accompanied by great wines from the region, will tell you about inclusion and skillful recycling. To accompany the tasting, the "en plein air" performance of La Toscanini NEXT on music by Verdi, Wagner and Bach.
