Arrival in Verdi’s Land, witness of Giuseppe Verdi Homelands. In Roncole Verdi, visit to the Birthplace and the new multimedia path inside it: the Maestro himself will lead you through the rooms; then the San Michele Church where the composer was baptized and where, as a child, started to exercise on the organ. Transfer and visit to Villa Verdi in Sant’Agata. The villa, inhabited today by the descendants of Verdi and surrounded by a beautiful park, was the permanent residence of Verdi and Giuseppina Strepponi from 1851 onwards, where they lived combining music and agriculture and alternating with the long stays in Paris and the winters passed in Genoa. Transfer on the Po river banks and visit to an ageing cellar of Culatello di Zibello, so loved by Verdi; tasting and lunch. Afternoon devoted to Busseto. Visit to Teatro Verdi that, splendid and magnificent, was built in honor of Verdi and opened in August 1868 with the performances of Rigoletto and Un Ballo in Maschera. Visit then Barezzi House Museum in whose living room was held Verdi’s first exhibition and where you can find the piano on which the Maestro exercised. The museum houses several memorials and relics of Verdi. Then visit the Giuseppe Verdi National Museum and the Renata Tebaldi Museum. She, as Pavarotti, has been one of last century greatest interpreters of Verdi's music. Accomodation, dinner and overnight stay in hotel.
Breakfast in hotel. Transfer to Modena and visit of the old town center. Strolling in the streets you will discover the places familiar to Pavarotti, the small streets, the shops, the restaurants and finaly Unesco Heritage Piazza Grande with the Ghirlandina Tower and the Cathedral. Then the Luciano Pavarotti Theater with a very special visit to this theater that the big artist so specially loved. Then let’s visit a Modena Traditional Balsamic Vinegar cellar with tasting of vinegar and typical products. In the afternoon, visit the Casa Museo Luciano Pavarotti that reflects in every detail the artist’s personality. The visit to this house will enable you to discover Pavarotti in day life through his rooms, to admire the costumes so dear to him, the photos and the videos the have marked his great artistic career, the countless awards received during over forty years in opera theaters all over the world.
