Parma, the Italian Capital of Culture 2021, and its beautiful city center, characterized by the magnificence of its monuments: Piazza Duomo with the Cathedral and the Baptistery, the Pilotta Palace with the National Gallery and the Farnese Theater, the San Giovanni and La Steccata churches. From art to music, Parma offers its best, including its temples of music, the Teatro Regio and the Auditorium Paganini, together with the medieval and contemporary gems in its province, like the Rocca Sanvitale and the Masone Labyrinth in Fontanellato. A series of innovative exhibitions, new openings of historical structures, unmissable music events with an extraordinary Opera and Concert Season to celebrate Parma as Italian Capital of Culture 2020 in a journey through the past, the present and the future of the city.

First day

Arrival and visit to Parma’s historical center and to the Palazzo della Pilotta Monumental Complex with the Farnese Theater and the National Gallery housing Correggio and Parmigianino’s masterpieces. Tasting-lunch in the historic center. Afternoon, visit to the San Paolo Chamber (frescoed by Correggio), the Cathedral and Baptistery. Time available to visit the San Giovanni Church or the Steccata Church or an exhibition or itinerary set up for Parma 2020. Pre-theater light dinner. Opera or Concert scheduled at the Teatro Regio di Parma or at the Auditorium Niccolò Paganini. Overnight at the Hotel.

Second day

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Fontanellato on the list of the most beautiful villages in Italy. Visit to the Rocca Sanvitale di Fontanellato which, surrounded by a wide moat, houses the extraordinary fresco by Parmigianino depicting the myth of Diana and Actaeon. Time available to visit another castle of the Bassa Parmense or to Verdi Homelands or to visit an exhibition or itinerary set up for Parma 2020. Lunch in a typical trattoria. Afternoon, visit to the Masone Labyrinth, the largest in the world and to the Franco Maria Ricci Art Collection (about 500 works from the 16th to the 20th century). Time available for a visit to an exhibition or itinerary set up for Parma 2020. Visit to an ancient Culatello di Zibello ageing cellar with tasting experience. Tasting-dinner with a typical menu of the Bassa Parmense. Overnight at the Hotel.

Third day

Breakfast at the hotel. Day at your choice:
