Visit a producer of Prosciutto di Parma and the breeding area for the Parma Black Pig, an historical and highly prized race bred out in the open in a natural and protected setting surrounded by gullies, small natural mud geysers (barboj) and oak woods. To follow, a tasting lunch in the farm based on typical products representing the agricultural biodiversity of the territory. The afternoon is free for excursions in an off-road jeep to get to know first- hand the work of breeders and cultivators. Free time for dinner and overnight stay in the wooden hut in the geyser park, the Barboj, with a breathtaking view over the Apennine hills. Every cabin is has a private bathroom equipped with a hammam/Turkish bath.
Visit the Castle of Torrechiara and its medieval hamlet and walk through the vineyards to visit a winery producing Wines from the Parma Hills where you will enjoy a tasting lunch. In the afternoon you will have the chance to visit the historical centre of Parma by bicycle.
